Possible changes on the timing of paydays for Washington County's approximately 180 employees will be one of the leading action items for county commissioners court this Tuesday at 9 a.m. in courthouse Room 105.

Concern has been raised by the county's outside auditors for several years that, in some instances, Washington County workers have received pay in advance of "time actually work" on the now twice-monthly basis.

In addition to a decision on the payroll matter, other action items to come before the court Tuesday include:

€ Discuss and act to divide appropriate annual revenues from the Tom Green County school land leases between the Brenham and Burton school districts.

€ Discuss and act on a cooperative agreement with the state Attorney General in support of Texas Child Support Disbursement Unit.

€ Discuss and act to cast the county's appropriate share of votes for candidates for board of directors' membership on the Washington County Tax Appraisal District.

€ Discuss and act toward submission of a bid to Tom Green County for their use of caliche located on county-owned school lands there.

€ Discuss and act on an agreement for Harris County Medical Examiner's performance of some postmortem examinations for this county.

€ Discuss and act to approve a Washington County Jury Selection Plan.

€ Discuss and act to approve the Texas County and District Retirement System option for membership by county employees.

€ Discuss and act on an agreement with the Texas Conference of Urban Counties for professional services to bring the county into compliance with new federal privacy regulation, and to appoint "county privacy officers."

€ Discuss and act on Washington County Water Supply request for a buried utility line on right-of-way along Precinct 4's Farmers Road.
