Bucs honored for academic success
The Blinn College volleyball team has once again been recognized by the National Junior College Athletic Association as one of the top academic teams for the fall 2007 season.
The award is the fourth straight year that the Lady Bucs have been named among the NJCAA Fall Academic Teams of the Year.
The NJCAA annually recognizes student-athletes and individuals who have distinguished themselves on a national level through performance, service, merit or achievement.
The minimum grade point average requirement for consideration was 3.0. Blinn’s team GPA was 3.32.
Blinn, coached by David Rehr, finished the 2007 season with an overall record of 35-4, finishing fifth at the NJCAA National Tournament.
