BURTON — Burton ISD trustees will hold a called meeting at 4 p.m. at the administration office, 701 North Railroad Street, for board training, including Team of Eight and Senate Bill 1566 accountability training before its regular meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m.

During its regularly-scheduled meeting, trustees will consider the proposed calendar for the school year 2020-21.

Several contracts will be considered in executive session Thursday, including:

• Athletic Director’s contract;

• Principal contracts; Counselor contract; and

• Director of Student Services contract.

Trustees will also discuss district safety and security in executive session.

Any action regarding the contracts will be taken when the board reconvenes into open session.

Items on Thursday’s agenda also include a public hearing regarding the district and campus 2018-19 Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR).

Council will also consider a resolution regarding special education shared services agreement with the Brazos Valley Regional Day School program for the deaf shared services agreement, in addition to discussion and consideration of a bus purchase.
