2020 Girls State delegates

On July 15-19, the American Legion Auxiliary’s Bluebonnet Girls State was in session. In the past the delegates would spend the week at Texas Lutheran University; however, this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the session was held in a virtual session. The girls gave their reports to the American Legion and Auxiliary on Thursday evening, July 16. Each girl expressed their gratitude for being selected, as well as, their praise for a great session. Those attending were: (from left) Shayle Woods, daughter of Shay and Ann Woods, sponsored by the Brenham Evening Lions Club; Leona Hernandez, daughter of Emmanuel and Gendarmie Hernandez, sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #48; Jenna Hardy, daughter of Trey and Stacy Hardy, sponsored by the Republican Club of Washington County; Kaitlin Flisowski, daughter of Lang and Sharon Flisowski, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Washington County; Tina Nguyen, daughter of Vinh Duc Nguyen and Phuoc Keim Loung, sponsored by the Brenham Noon Lions; and Kayci Pharaon, daughter of James and Kristi Pharaon, sponsored by the Washington County Ladies Lions.
