Working on restoring piece of history

A 120-year old piece of history is getting a facelift as First Christian Church undergoes some restoration and repairs.

The church, located at 306 Cottonwood St., plans to do the following repairs: Structural repairs to re-attach and repair the front wall, repair and restore pews, replace carpet in sanctuary, repairing the floors as needed, replace damaged and decayed wood on the exterior, paint the exterior and repair the baptistery.
