Azizi-Viebig wed Oct. 19

Lirinda Azizi and Kyle Viebig, both of New York City, were united in marriage Oct. 19, 2019 at Belo Mansion in Dallas.

The bride is the daughter of Alije Azizi of Mansfield and Fazli Azizi of Fort Worth. She is the granddaughter of Kamber and Zelije Ahmedi of Minooka, Illinois.

The groom is the son of Rod and Gayla Viebig of Brenham.

The Rev. Troy Sikes officiated the ceremony, which included a scripture reading from the groom’s late paternal grandfather’s Bible (dated 1933).

The Meridian String Quartet performed the music for the ceremony.

The bride wore a Martina Liana designer wedding dress and a cathedral-length veil. The gown had handcrafted lace, a sweetheart neckline and delicate lace straps over the shoulders. Ruching and crystal buttons accentuated the backside of the bodice. The lace and tulle skirt extended to the ground with a dramatic train.

She carried a bouquet of white spray and escimo roses accented with calla lilies, ranaculus, anemones, chocolate cosmos and sweet peas in vibrant colors of purple, orange and burgundy.

Bride’s attendants were Artlinda Azizi of Dallas, sister of the bride; Adriana Azizi of College Station, sister of the bride; Miranda Maksuti of Schaumburg, Illinois, cousin of the bride; and Kristin Strother of Bryan, sister of the groom.

They each wore floor-length taupe chiffon dresses in varying styles and carried bouquets of white spray and escimo roses with calla lilies, ranaculus, anemones and chocolate cosmos.

Flower girl was Madeline Coultas of Frisco, daughter of the groom’s cousin.

Best man was Ole Grauke of Corinth, childhood friend of the groom.

Groomsmen were Michael Bernick of Houston, childhood friend of the groom; Adrian Azizi of Mansfield, brother of the bride; and Mark Scheel of Brenham, childhood friend of the groom.

Ushers were Hunter Strother of Bryan, the groom’s brother-in-law; and Travis Meier of College Station, childhood friend of the groom.

After the ceremony they had a cocktail hour with appetizers followed by a formal dinner and dance. In keeping with tradition, the bride and groom danced at the reception, along with family and friends, to the traditional Albanian Valles to honor the bride’s family and heritage.

The bride’s cake was a four-tiered white cake with buttercream icing and salted caramel filling between each layer. It was accented with pink, white and burgundy cascading roses and the second layer had a floral print wrap.

The groom’s cake was a two-tiered chocolate cake with white buttercream icing. The cake had I “heart” NY on the top tier with a black silhouette of the city skyline around the first tier.

The couple will honeymoon in Europe visiting six different countries. They are living in New York City.

Lirinda graduated from Mansfield High School and the University of Texas in Dallas. She is an accountant at Samuel and Sons in New York City.
