Juliano-Barnett

Lauren Hope Juliano of Austin and David Gregory Barnett of Katy were united in marriage on Jan. 4, 2020 at 4 p.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Brenham.

The bride is the daughter of Susan Geick of Brenham and granddaughter of Arthur Al Geick and the late June Hope Burford Geick of Brenham. She is the great granddaughter of the late Arthur F. Geick and Betty Dietz Geick of Brenham.

The groom is the son of Randy and Lori Barnett of Katy.

Father Stephen Whaley officiated the ceremony. Music was provided by Vicki Richter Wehmeyer, organist. Scripture readings were read by Chelsea Siracki, Jordan Reed Christopher Irwin and Noah Jackson, close friends of the bride and groom.

Given in marriage by her mother and family, the bride was escorted down the aisle by her mother. The bride selected an Essence of Australia gown with a sweetheart neckline that adorned the lace bodice of her gown, accented on either side by lace off-the-shoulder straps and ivory lace appliqués. The color of the gown was ivory and moscato. Glamorous beadwork throughout the wedding gown added shimmer and sparkle in all the right places and zipped up beneath crystal buttons.

The bride carried a bouquet of White Majolica spray roses, Secret Garden roses, Hydrangeas, Playa Ivory roses accented with Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and Italian Ruscus greenery. Floral arrangements and table décor were created by Posh Petals.

In keeping with tradition, the bride wore an antique gold bracelet which was worn by her mother and great-great aunt and diamond earrings given by the bride’s late grandmother as something old, a diamond necklace given by the groom on their wedding day as something new, a jeweled hair comb that held her Cathedral length veil as something borrowed from her cousin Kate Cooper Crouse. Her garter and the bottom of her Betsey Johnson shoes as something blue.

Maid of honor was Morgan Murrey-Ittmann and matron of honor was Kara DeLoach Bond.

Bridesmaids were Madalyn Guelker, cousin of the bride, Mackenzie Teague, Lauren Redeker and sister of the groom Anna Barnett. All graduates of Texas A&M University.

The flower girl, Savannah Bond, the daughter of matron of honor Kara Bond was escorted down the aisle by her father William Bond.

Best man was Riley Hunkler and honorary best man was Jordan Barnett, brother of the groom.

Groomsmen were Chris Soihl, Cole Blair, Johnny Leisten, Jake Kocher and Jordan Ward.

The groom and his groomsmen were dressed in navy Calvin Klein suits complete with their favorite NFL team’s socks, a gift from the groom.

A wine and cheese social hour was held, followed by a dinner and dance reception at Ant Street Inn, where the wedding party and close friends spent the weekend. The Aggie War Hymn was played to kick off the reception festivities.

The bridal party tables had rose gold sequin linens with a 60-foot live garland with various eucalyptus greens, pine cones, plumose and Italian ruscus.

The bride’s cake was a vanilla with raspberry and buttercream confection adorned with a Texas A&M monogram as well as pine cones and greenery sprays from the Geick family’s homestead known for their pine tree covered property.

The groom’s cake was an Oreo flavored confection shaped like the New Orleans Saints Superdome the couple’s favorite NFL football team. Both made by Piece A Cake in Brenham.

The bride is a 2014 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and a 2017 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

The groom is a 2015 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Distribution.

The couple spent the weekend in Lake Charles following the wedding and will travel to Oyster Bay, Jamaica in the summer.
