Final Easter

Emma Thompson sits in a field of bluebonnets at the family ranch in Brenham April 12, 2009, two months before she was killed.

Abigail Young, a Brenham native, is up for parole consideration for the sixth time since being sentenced in 2010 for her involvement in the death of her daughter, Emma Thompson, who died in June 2009.

Authorities said the child was covered with 80 bruises, had a skull fracture and three broken ribs, and showed signs of being sexually abused.
