The Brenham High School Class of 2018’s graduation Saturday at Cub Stadium was a day of celebration and remembrance.

Celebration because 354 graduates were starting on their new journeys, remembrance for two students — Jarrett Halfman and Evaristo “Alex” Jaramillo — who were not joining them in the celebration. A gown and flowers were placed at the chairs for the two seniors, and Halfmann’s family accepted a diploma from the school in his memory.
