Discussing transfers

Burton ISD Superintendent Edna Kennedy, center, shares information related to the district’s transfer policy with trustees Monday night.

Burton — Burton ISD Board of Trustees passed two items Monday at its meeting to move forward with holding an election Nov. 2.

The first passed item was the approval of a joint election agreement with Washington County. According to Superintendent Edna Kennedy, holding a joint election helps the district keep the costs down as the county will handle the printing of materials.
