Brenham City Manager James Fisher was excited to share some “good news” with the mayor and city council Thursday during a special budget workshop meeting.

His top points: The expected budget deficit of $1 million is now a surplus of $600,000 and the city will no longer be dependent on reserves to make the fiscal year 2020-2021 budget float.
