The Brenham City Council has approved a tax freeze for homeowners who are disabled or at least 65 years old.

The council’s action Thursday will affect about 1,500 homeowners but would be “minimal” to the city’s tax revenues, said Carolyn Miller, assistant city manager and director of finances.
