Personal data on more than 1,300 Washington County Emergency Medical Services patients was among information stolen from a private company that once worked provided ambulance billing services to the county, local officials say.

Washington County Judge John Brieden said Monday that the county was told about a month ago that information from the files of Intermedix, which provided billing services for the county’s EMS from October 2006 until Jan. 1 this year, had apparently been stolen by an employee.
