COVID-19 testing underway at local nursing home

Employees at Kruse Village here were being tested Thursday for the novel coronavirus under state-mandated orders. There have been no reported cases at the facility. So far in Texas, there have been 3,622 confirmed COVID-19 cases in nursing homes, according to Texas Health and Human Services.

Washington County’s Public Health Authority Dr. William Loesch is looking back on the last few months of the pandemic with a better understanding of where the county has been and where it’s going.

In an email Monday, Loesch said the last few months have had their ups and downs.
