New fire station dedicated

Washington Volunteer Fire Department’s second station on Highway 105 was dedicated Saturday, with (from left) Fire Chief Clyde Miller; Robert Jensen, a charter member of the department when it was organized in 1972; Precinct One County Commissioner Don Koester; and Washington County Judge John Durrenberger handling the ribbon cutting. Miller said the department received “overwhelming community support” that allowed construction of another station.
