Two decades in law enforcement

Eddie Ocanas, patrol lieutenant for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, may have not started a career in law enforcement until he was 32, but he has steadily risen through the ranks.

Eddie Ocanas has one of the more unique stories to tell involving a career change.

Ocanas was working in retail management for Family Dollar, helping turn stores with problems around, when he met an officer with the Rosenberg Police Department’s administrative staff. That officer urged him to look into law enforcement.
