Mark Renn will open his new business and church Pioneer in the Washington County train depot building downtown here this summer.

Like the pioneers of old, Mark Renn is ready to start a new life.

The entrepreneur and pastor will move his family here from their current home in north Houston this month and hopes to bring a new experience to Brenham when he opens Pioneer Smokehouse and Mercantile in July and Pioneer Mission Community in August.
