The special election scheduled for May 6 for the Ward 3 Brenham City Council seat has been canceled because only one candidate filed for the position.
The special election was intended to fill the seat vacated by Atwood Kenjura, who had to resign when he became a candidate for mayor. Kenjura will square off against Keith Hofmann on May 6.
