SHREVEPORT, La. - Brace yourselves for a stretch of scorching temperatures. The National Weather Service in Shreveport has a heat advisory in effect again Thursday.

Afternoon high temperatures will likely reach the middle to upper 90s. This combined with high humidity will result in afternoon heat indices ranging from 105-110 degrees.
