Summer means snake time

Patti Parks, an emergency medicine nurse at Baylor Scott and White Hospital-Brenham, discusses the characteristics of copperheads during a venomous snake program Wednesday. Parks went over each of the venomous snakes found in Texas, with copperheads being number one in terms of bite cases seen at the hospital. The program included identification of each and advice on how to avoid dangerous encounters.
