After roughly 10 months of the coronavirus pandemic, Washington County is nearing 1,000 total cases.

As of Dec. 2, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) was reporting 966 total cases in Washington County. A confirmed 147 cases continue to be active while 766 people have recovered. Since the pandemic began, 53 people have passed away in the county due to the virus.
