Of all of the ups and downs gifted to me by my Christmas-week COVID-19 diagnosis, an eery feeling of disappointment has strangely been the most everlasting of the bunch.

While missing Christmas with mine and my fiancé's family was a hard-enough-pill to swallow, what I struggled with enormously come the end of our coinciding quarantines was the fact I had a relatively easy time fighting the illness.
