The Burton baseball team will take on Mumford tonight at home to determine which of the two teams will earn the third playoff spot out of District 26-2A.
The Brenham softball team will play a best two-of-three series against Elgin for the area round of the playoffs. Game 1 is Friday at 7 p.m. at Alumni Field, and Game 2 is Saturday at Elgin at 2 p.m. Game 3, if necessary, will follow Game 2 at 4 p.m.
The Brenham baseball team will play a one-game playoff against Houston North Forest Friday at 7 p.m. for the bi-district round of the postseason. The game could be played at Fireman’s Park depending on the conditions of the field. The place will be determined later in the week.
