The Brenham Independent School District is again on the hunt for a new high school baseball coach after recent hire Chris Griffin confirmed Sunday night that he was backing out of the position.

Griffin was announced as Brenham’s new coach through a BISD press release on June 18 after longtime Cub head coach Lanny Williams was reassigned and subsequently resigned following 23 combined years as an assistant and head coach (since 2013) for the Cubs.
