Once a highly touted local prospect often ribbed by his coaches and teammates for having “brick hands,” a label Hemphill earned tendency to flub would-be interceptions, the soon-to-be junior defensive back has put his woes in the past and is suddenly a widely sought-after college prospect with Division I powerhouses lining up at his doorstep.
